Pran in Sanskrit means the vital energy that keeps us alive. The practice of pranayam enlivens this vitality in us to finally discover the spark that animates all of us.

About this course

Begin your pranayama journey. The vyayam (exercise) of pran is pranayam. This course takes you through the steps of connecting with the pran that is encapsulated in your breath. a wonderful breathtaking journey. As the pran and the mind are so closely connected, training and tuning the pran via the medium of the breath in turn brings ease and calm in our emotional and mental body. A point in case is the tumultous breath whenever one is in the throes of any stress and the ease in breathing when one calms down.

Always practice one video a day in sequence and have a day off from practice in-between to integrate and absorb.

What to Wear
Wear loose comfortable clothes preferably of a natural fibre. Seat your self in an easy position, a chair if you can't sit on the ground or an asan of your choice. If the session calls for lying down, find a space that is clear and free of obstruction.

What You Will Learn
Why repetition matters. The benefit of returning to the same practice again and again, like a mantra, so it settles into peace, calm and self-discovery.

To use the medium of the physical breath to connect to the pran. In advance stages this bond takes on a deeper and more spiritual nuance.

How to observe the breath and ground the body.

The rubber band breath. Stretch the inhale and release the exhale slowly, so the breath gradually becomes longer, deeper and more flexible without force.

How to shift from physical breath to prana.

A full-body light visualisation. Follow the light through the lungs, blood, organs, muscles, arms, throat, brain, spine, abdomen and legs.

Breath retention and targeted breathing.

How to carry the practice with you. Take the light and sound into your daily life.

In case of any discomfort you must stop and ground yourself by touching the earth and returning to normal breathing.
